USS Midway Museum - History Revisited
Celebrating the Midway from 1945 'till today. As you pull up to the ship you will be taken on a journey through time and Midway history all while celebrating USO. Come dressed in costume if you wish, dress warm as it might get chilly on the flight deck at night and come ready to have a great time and get inspired!
As you travel through the spaces in the ship, you'll be transformed through the history of the USS Midway in these areas:
Welcome to 1945 when the USS Midway was first commission, just one week after WWII ended but the Rosie’s were still hard at work! Take a photo at our live Rosie interactive TSE Step and Repeat before boarding the ship by Radiant Productions, Imagination Entertainment and T. Skorman Productions.
One of the 1940’s characters from Mark Joseph Creative will be there for a photo-op and of course point you in the right direction as you board the ship.
Hanger 1 Entrance: Walking into the Hanger will appear as though you are walking into a 1940’s officers club. Enjoy the Midway Exhibits, the music of the Swing Dolls, or some of the tasty cuisine provided by Culinary Concepts.
Get inspired with Unique Bars and Food stations, designed by Fox Design Firm that give a nod to the 1940’s style with a new and fun twist.
Midway Theatre will be open from 7:30pm – 9:30pm for guests to enjoy and learn about the ship itself.
Main Stage Hanger: Club 90 provided by Innovative Entertainment will rock the main stage as the evening unfolds. Celebrating the decommissioning of the Midway in San Diego on April 11th, 1992.
Eventavision is providing all the technical production and stage design for our Hanger Bay, and sure not to miss the LED wall!
Hanger Bay 2:
Enjoy the Midway Simulators from 7:30pm – 9:30pm located in Hanger 2.

As attendees enter into Hanger 2, we move into the 1960’s when the Midway made its first combat deployment to Vietnam, and into the South Pacific. Enjoy the smells of the tropics, cocktails and cuisine!
The Midway was the first American carrier home ported abroad in Yokosuka, Japan.
Enjoy the elevator 3 outdoor lounge area as you step outside in a stunning airplane installation by Fox Design Firm and lounge furniture by Bright.
Sensational Treats will be hosting a smores area and fried doughnuts that you do not want to miss!
Enjoy the sounds of San Diego’s very own three2sevens classic rock band, Playing the music you love the way you love it!
Grab a hot cup of coffee provided by Eurobar coffee & beverage and enjoy the San Diego evening.
Flight Deck Aft:
Welcome to San Diego in traditional Top Gun/Bootcamp style! We couldn’t have you on the ship without paying tribute to our San Diego Military and of course a little nod to Top Gun!
Do you like to color? If so, come color with Champagne Creatives newest interactive experience.
How would you do at boot camp? While come find out by trying to retrieve a tasty dessert provided by Sensational Treats off of Fox Design Firm Interactive Over the Wall station.
Have you lost that Lovin Feeling? Well, come get your photo taken with the Tom Cruise double provided by the Midway.
Do you want a memory of yourself from this evening, go visit Joe Castillo the SandArtist will be doing sand portraits throughout the evening and putting you right into the action of the Midway!
Don’t worry about our guys training for Boot camp, they will be flipping and twisting all night long as they entertain you on their 50ft trampoline. (Radiant Productions and Imagination Entertainment).

Flight Deck Center Island:
It is fresh, modern and a new era for the USO, as we move into a totally new modern look and feel with staging and seating provided by Bright, food stations designed by Fox Design Firm, cuisines by Culinary Concepts and of course the beauty of the Midway and the San Diego skyline. Technical Production design by Velocity Productions including all sound, lighting and video.
The Red-Hot Band by Innovative Entertainment will be rocking all night long from old school to new school USO with a modern twist from 7:30pm -10:00pm
The History Revisited dancers by Mark Joseph Creative and Red-Hot Band have a show not to be missed as they will be performing throughout the night.
L.E.D. by T. Skorman Productions makes it USO debut!
We have a San Diego salute for TSE that you do not want to miss starting at 9:50pm, make sure you are on the flight deck for this exciting finale to our night but kickoff to TSE 2019!
