DAVID L. SPEAR FOUNDER AND CEO AFX PRO, LLC

After working with the 1984 World’s Fair in New Orleans, David founded Events, Inc., a special event design and production company, specializing in pyrotechnics and special effects.

Using the trade names of Classic Fireworks and Classic Effects, he designed and produced special effects for nine NFL Super Bowls, three Republican National Conventions, numerous NBA and Major League Baseball Championships and All-Star Games, several Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants and hundreds of corporate and association events across the USA and in over a dozen other countries.

David is founder and CEO of AFX Pro, a special effects and pyrotechnic production company in New Orleans.

He is active in the International Special Events Society and served as International President in 2002-03. Other organizations where he has served in a leadership position include Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, Kiwanis International, New Orleans Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Bureau, New Orleans Foundation for Events Associates Relief (NOFEAR) and Play It Forward Foundation.

David and his wife Suzanne have been married for thirty years and have two sons aged 24 and 22.
